Dress code: Golf course strictly enforces proper attire including collared shirts and shorts or slacks. Clothing that is not appropriate includes: denim shorts, denim jeans, t-shirts, swimming attire, gym shorts, halter-tops, tank tops or cut-offs. Shoes with spikes must have non-metal spikes while on the course. Any participant who does not comply with the dress code policy will need to change into the proper attire or not be able to participate in the day's play. Kirk Porter
General Manager/Director of Golf bearcgc@aol.com Kirk grew up playing junior golf and working at his favorite course, St. Andrew’s Golf Club in St. Charles, MO. He played college golf for 2 years at the University of Missouri St. Louis and graduated with a business degree. Kirk earned his PGA member status and became the general Manager at St. Andrew’s Golf Club in 1989. Kirk enjoyed this position for over 12 years where he taught group and private lessons, junior camps and promoted their golf tournament business. He then managed Country Lakes Golf Club for 1 year until he came to Bear Creek in 2002. The challenge and excitement of promoting golf as a business is what makes managing a golf course fun. Kirk enjoys working with both the Course Superintendent and the Restaurant Staff in making Bear Creek one of St. Charles finest. Look for him on your next visit to Bear Creek.
Tim Bergmann
Course Superintendent bearcgc@aol.com Tim’s education and qualifications are distinguished by his accomplishments at St. Albans, a 36-hole private course also located in Missouri, which he has served as the assisstant golf superintendent for the last 10 years. His role as superintendent encompasses the planning and execution of daily course activities, managing and implanting projects for course improvements and the detection diagnosis and prevention of threatening conditions caused by disease and insects. A degree in Horticulture and Turf grass management, the numerous affiliations and continuing education has made Tim a great asset to have a Bear Creek.
Barry Wright
Executive Chef/Food & Beverage Director/ Event Coordinator bearcgc@aol.com Barry comes to Bear Creek with over 25 years experience in the food and beverage business. He began his career in Chicago with the Sheraton Hotels and has moved through out the region from California to Hawaii in the Hyatt Hotel chain creating a fine dining experience to hotel and golf clientele alike. Moving to St. Louis in 1989, he worked as a Banquet Chef at The Adam�™s Mark Hotel and has spent the last 10+ years as the Food & Beverage Director at Innsbrook Resort & Conference Center . Barry brings with him a wealth of knowledge in fine dining and looks forward to creating special and unique entrées for all our guests.
